Industrial solvent free epoxy factory floor coatings North East

Factory floor coatings and industrial flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East Ltd have installed 4000m2 of solvent epoxy resin floor coatings in Sunderland Tyne and Wear.

The works were executed over a shutdown period to minimise disruption to our clients operations. The concrete substrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove a defective paint coating from the floor surface and to provide a key for the new epoxy floor coatings. The prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

A fast curing solvent free epoxy resin primer was then applied to the prepared floor surface and allowed to cure. Once the epoxy resin primer had cured two coats of a high build epoxy resin flooring were then applied to the primed substrate. The colour salsa red was used to highlight the pedestrian walkways and sterling grey to highlight the production areas.

When the high build solvent free epoxy resin flooring system had fully cured. Line demarcation was added to the edges of the walkways to complete the operation.
