Solacir microscreed staircase installation in Carlisle Cumbria

Beton cire and Solacir microscreed experts Resin Flooring North East Ltd have created a bespoke contenporary staircase at a health and beauty spa and restaurant in Carlisle Cumbria.

Solacir microscreed was used to create the bespoke finish. Resin Flooring North East Ltd managing director Paul Hatton executed the works.

The precast unit was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to provide a key for the microscreed decorative concrete system. The staircase was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

Solacir epoxy primer was then applied encapsulating the whole staircase. Once the epoxy primer was cured the microscreed in the colour graphite was then applied to the staircase by trowel.

The microscreed was then polished with diamond tooling to provide a smooth surface with tones and character. Two sealer coats were then applied to the finished surface.

A final coat of wax was then applied as a final coat completing this bespoke piece of craftsmanship.
