Solacir microscreed installation Sunderland Tyne and Wear

Solacir microscreed decorative concrete flooring was chosen as the desired floor finish at Aphrodite clothes store at Park Lane in the city centre of Sunderland. Resin Flooring North East Ltd Solacir Interiors specialists installed the bespoke flooring system over a three day period as part of the recent refurbishment at the store.

The substrate was made of timber 18mm marine ply. The timber substrate was sanded and an epoxy primer was applied and left to cure. The joints in the timber substrate and screwheads were then filled with an epoxy paste.

A regulating layer of elastomeric polyurethane was then applied to the prepared substrate to provide a suitable surface for the microscreed flooring to be applied too.

The micro screed flooring system was then applied to the substrate in the colour pebble and then sealed with two silk polyurethane seal coats. A further two coat of wax was then applied to the finished floor surface.
