County Durham factory flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East have installed 150m2 of food grade flowable epoxy flooring within the production area of Faerch who are situated at Damson Way, Dragonville Industrial Estate, Durham in the North East of England.

A defective susbtrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove defective areas of flooring and to provide a key for the new epoxy flooring system. The carefully prepared substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris. The carefully prepared substrate was then primed with an epoxy primer.

An epoxy scratch coat was then applied by trowel to the carefully prepared and primed substrate to completely seal the floor surface and to cover minor irregularities in the floor surface.

A flowable epoxy floor screed was then applied to the carefully prepared substrate by trowel at a depth of 3mm in the colour Stirling grey encapsulating the area to complete the operation.
