Seamless Food Grade Polyurethane Resin Flooring Thirsk North Yorkshire

Seamless food grade industrial resin flooring contractors Resin Flooring North East Ltd have installed 80m2 of seamless polyurethane flooring at Cod Beck Blenders on the Dalton Industrial Estate in Thirsk North Yorkshire.

The concrete substrate was carefully prepared by dust free diamond grinding to provide a key for the new seamless polyurethane resin flooring system. Saw cuts 10mm wide and 100 deep were then cut into the perimiter of the area using dust free equiptment to anchor the flooring system once installed. The area was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

A stainless steel trim was then fixed around the perimiter walls 150mm high for a coving detail. The prepared area was then primed with a dampshield primer and the floor broadcasted with a dry coarse quartz aggregate. The prepared and primed area was then left to cure overnight.

A food grade polyurethane floor screed was then installed by trowel upon the carefully prepared substrate at a depth of 9mm in the colour salsa providing a seamless heavy duty flooring system which is chemical resistant, slip resistant, hygienic, impact resistant which is food and drinks industry approved.

Coving was then formed with a one inch radius around the preimiter walls of the area finished to a stainless steel trim 150mm high using a self sealing polyurethane wall render to complete the operation.
