Food Grade Butchery Resin Flooring Wingates Morpeth Northumberland

Butchery flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East have installed 50m2 of food grade polyurethane floor screed and 20 linear metres of coved skirting within a new build butchery at East Farm, Wingates, Morpeth, Northumberland in the North East of England.

The concrete substrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to provide a key for the new food grade polyurethane flooring system. A chase 10mm wide and 10mm deep was then cut into the substrate around the perimiter of the area using dust free diamond tooling to anchor the resin flooring once installed.

The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris. The concrete substrate was then primed with a DPM epoxy primer and then broadcasted with a coarse dried silica aggregate.

A food grade polyurethane floor screed was then installed upon the carefully prepared and primed concrete substrate at a depth of 9mm by trowel in the colour Flint Grey.

A coved skirting detail was then installed around the perimiter of the area 100mm high with a 2 inch radius by trowel using a polyurethane wall render in the colour Flint Grey. The coved skirting was then sealed with a polyurethane sealer in the colour Flint Grey to complete the operation.
