Seamless resin flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East Ltd have installed a bespoke barefoot comfort flooring system within a residential property in Forest Gate Newham East London

The substrate the resin flooring system was to be installed upon was made up of concrete and timber. A defective tiled surface was removed. The exposed concrete and timber surfaces were then prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove defective screed and tile adhesive. The area was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

The joints in the 18mm marine ply timber substrate were then filled with a fast curing polyester filler. A woven fabric was then placed over the filled joints and fixed in place with a fast curing epoxy resin primer. This process prevents reflective cracking in the new floor surface.

The floor surace was then primed with epoxy resin primer and allowed to cure overnight. The liquid polyurethane resin flooring system was then applied to the carefully prepared substrate at a depth of 3mm by trowel encapsulating the primed surface in the Ral colour 4001.

A transparent matt polyurethane sealer was then applied to the finished floor surface to complete the operation.
