Resin flooring installation York North Yorkshire

Food grade flooring and industrial flooring experts Resin Flooring North East Ltd have installed a hygienic polyurethane resin floor screed at the off site food preparation areas of a restaurant in York, North Yorkshire.

Two concrete substrates of 40m2 each were prepared by dust free diamond grinding to provide a key for the new resin flooring system. Chases were then cut 10mm wide and 20mm deep around the perimeters of the concrete substrate and the drainage channels to anchor the new resin flooring system. The areas were then vacuumed to remove all dust and debris.

The prepared concrete substrate was then primed with an epoxy resin primer and broadcast with dry silika sand and allowed to cure overnight.

A hygienic, food grade anti slip, polyurethane floor screed was then installed upon the prepared and primed substrate at a depth of 9mm in the colour flint grey.
