Butchers Food Grade Resin Flooring Barnard Castle County Durham

Food grade butchers flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East have installed 30m2 of food grade polyurethane floor screed within the premises of Mcfarlane Family Butchers who are situated at the Horse Market in Barnard Castle County Durham in the North East of England.

The concrete substrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove a defective coating and to provide a key for the new food grade polyurethane flooring system. A chase 10mm wide and 10mm deep was then cut into the substrate around the perimiter of the area using dust free diamond tooling to anchor the resin flooring once installed.

The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris. The concrete substrate was then primed with a DPM epoxy primer and then broadcasted with a coarse dried quartz aggregate.

A food grade polyurethane floor screed was then installed upon the carefully prepared and primed concrete substrate at a depth of 9mm by trowel in the colour Salsa red. A polyurethane coating was then applied to the existing skirting detail in the colour Salsa red to complete the operation.
