Sunderland industrial flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East Ltd have installed 400m of epoxy flooring at an industrial unit in Washington Sunderland Tyne and Wear.

The concrete substrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove a defective paint coat and to provide a key for the new epoxy flooring system. The repared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

Epoxy primer was then applied to the prepared floor surface and allowed to cure overnight. Two coats of a high build epoxy coating was then applied to the primed floor surface in the colour sterling grey.

Joints in the substrate were then packed with foam chord and filled with a flexible polyurethane sealant to complete the operation.
