Dog kennel floors specialist contractors Resin Flooring North East Ltd have installed a seamless polyurethane flooring system at a kennels in Chester le Street County Durham.

Our client had painted his kennel floors on numerous occasions but the floor coating always debonded and peeled away. The defective surface was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove the defective coating and to provide a key for the new polyurethane floor screed.

Saw cuts 10mm wide and 10mm deep were then cut around the perimiters of the prepared concrete substrate to anchor the resin flooring system once installed. The prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

A solvent free epoxy resin primer was then applied to the prepared concrete substrate which was then broadcasted with a dry silica aggergate and allowed to cure.

A 9mm polyurethane floor screed was then applied to the primed floor surface encapsulating the whole area. The end result is a seamless, heavy duty, hygienic, anti slip floor surface that can be steam cleaned if necessary.
