Commercial Kitchen Floors - Resin Flooring North East Ltd

Seamless polyurethane floor screeds, commercial kitchen and food grade flooring experts Resin Flooring North East Ltd have installed a hygienic, seamless, anti slip polyurethane flooring system and coved skirting within a pub kitchen in Morpeth Northumberland in the North East of England.

A defective vinyl flooring system was removed from the concrete substrate. The concrete substrate was then prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove glue and defective screed and to provide a key for the new polyurethane industrial resin flooring system.

Chases 10mm wide and 10mm deep were cut around the perimiter of the area using dust free diamond tooling to anchor the industrial resin flooring system once installed. The prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

A fast curing epoxy resin primer was then applied to the prepared concrete substrate and then broadcast with a dried coarse aggregate. Once the primer had cured a 6mm polyurethane floor screed was then installed by trowel at a depth of 6mm encapsulating the primed floor surface.

A coved skirting 150mm high with a 3 inch radius was then installed around the perimiter of the area using a polyurethane wall render to complete the operation.
