Polyurethane Flooring Whitby Brewery North Yorkshire

Food and drinks industry flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East have installed 44m2 of food and drinks grade polyurethane floor screed within the Brew House at Whitby Brewery situated at East Cliff, Whitby in North Yorkshire.

The concrete substrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to provide a key for the new food and drinks grade polyurethane flooring system. A chase 10mm wide and 10mm deep was then cut into the substrate around the perimiter of the area using dust free diamond tooling to anchor the resin flooring once installed.

The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris. The concrete substrate was then primed with a DPM epoxy primer and then broadcasted with a coarse dried quartz aggregate.

A food and drinks grade polyurethane floor screed was then installed upon the carefully prepared and primed concrete substrate at a depth of 9mm by trowel in the colour Graphite.

Coved skirting was then formed where required using a polyurethane wall render 150mm high with a 2inch radius in the colour Graphite which was then sealed with a polyurethane sealer coat in the colour Graphite.

Expansion joints were then cut where required using dust free diamond tooling and filled with a flexible polyurethane sealant in the colour Graphite to complete the operation.
