Clean room and Industrial flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East Ltd have supplied and installed 1350m2 of flowable epoxy resin flooring within a clean room at the new premises of Advanced Electronics based on Balliol Industrial Estate Longbenton Tyne and Wear.

The concrete substrate was prepared by Blastrak dust free enclosed shotblasting and dust free diamond grinding to provide a key for the new flowable epoxy resin flooring system. The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then primed twice with a clear high build epoxy resin primer encapsulating and sealing the carefully prepared concrete substrate.

A flowable epoxy resin floor screed was then installed upon the carefully prepared and primed concrete substrate at a depth of 3mm in the colour flint grey.

320 linear meters of expansion joints were then cut into the substrate and then filled with a flexible polyurethane sealant in the colour flint to complete the operation.
