North East garage floor coatings and concrete floor protection experts Resin Flooring North East Ltd have revived a concrete substrate at a HGV garage in Durham County Durham North East England.

The highly contaminated concrete subtrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove oil contamination and remnants of a defective paint coating. This process also provides a key for the new epoxy resin flooring system. The prepared concrete floor surface was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.

A fast curing solvent free epoxy resin primer and allowed to cure. The primed concrete substrate was then coated with a high build epoxy floor coating in the colour mid grey and allowed to cute.

A one metre perimiter around the service pit was then masked up and coated with a high build epoxy floor coating in the colour safety Yellow. Hash marking were then added to the safety yellow preimiter band to complete the operation.
