Northumberland commercial garage workshop floor painting specialists Resin Flooring North East have installed 280m2 of High Build epoxy coatings within the new garage workshops of R H Scott Timber Hauliers who are based at Stonehaugh Garage, Stonehaugh, Northumberland in the North East of England.

The concrete substrate was carefully prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove laitance and to provide a key for the new epoxy floor coating system. The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris. The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then primed with a DPM epoxy primer.

Two coats of High Build epoxy floor coatings were then applied to the carefully prepared and primed concrete substrate by brush and roller in the RAL colour 7040 window grey incorporating an aluminium oxide additive to create an anti slip finish.

Line demarcation was then added in the colours Safety yellow and black to create guide lines and chevrons around the pits. The joints in the concrete substrate were then packed with a foam chord and filled with a flexible polyurethane sealant in the RAL colour 7040 window grey to complete the operation.
