Northumberland workshop floor painting specialists Resin Flooring North East have installed 40m2 of High Build epoxy coatings within the workshop of The National Grid at the Wooler compressor station in Milfield, Wooler, Northumberland in the North East of England.

The concrete substrate was carefully prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove a defective coating and to provide a key for the new epoxy floor coating system. The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris. The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then primed with a DPM epoxy primer. An epoxy scratch coat was then applied to the carefully prepared and primed concrete substrate. The epoxy scratch coat was then lightly sanded to remove nibs.

Two coats of High Build epoxy floor coatings were then applied to the carefully prepared and primed concrete substrate by brush and roller in the RAL colour 7043 Traffic grey to complete the operation.
