Concrete Floor Coatings Industrial Resin Screeds County Durham

Concrete floor coating specialist contractors Resin Flooring North East Ltd have installed a high build epoxy coating system at Manheim Car Auctions in Bristol Avon.

The concrete substrate of 480m2 was prepared by dust free captive shotblasting to remove an old defective paint coat and provide a key for the new epoxy resin flooring system. The perimiter edges were prepared by dust freediamond grinding.

Cracks in the concrete substrate were then cut out using dust free diamond tooling. The prepared concrete floor surface was then vacuumed to remove all dust and debris.

The chases cut into the floor were then filled with a high strength epoxy resin mortar. The floor area of 480m2 was then coated with an epoxy resin primer.

Once the primer had cured two coats of high build epoxy resin was applied to the primed surface in contrasting colours. The roadways were coated in a dark grey and the pedestrian areas a lighter grey.

Safety yellow line demarcation was then added to the perimeters of the roadways. The finished epoxy floor surface was then encapsulated with a transparent anti slip solvent free polyurethane sealer coat.
