Epoxy and polyurethane resin floor coatings experts Resin Flooring North East have installed 400m2 industrial high build epoxy coatings at an engineering factory unit in Sunderland Tyne and Wear.

The concrete substrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove a defective paint coat and to provide a key for the new epoxy resin flooring system.The concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of debris and dust.

Solvent free epoxy resin primer was then applied to the prepared concrete substrate encapsulating and sealing the floor surface. Two coats of high build epoxy paint were then applied to primed substrate.

The expansion joints in the floor surface were then cut, packed with foam chord then filled with a flexible polyurethane sealant to complete the operation.
