High Build Epoxy - Resin Flooring North East Ltd

Epoxy high build coatings and industrial flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East Ltd have supplied and installed 500m2 of factory floor coatings at an industrial premises in Durham, County Durham in the North East of England.

Defective vinyl flooring and carpet tiles were removed from the concrete substrate and placed into a skip. The concrete floor surface was then prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove defective latex screed and glue contamination from the concrete substrate and to provide a key for the new high build epoxy coatings.

The prepared floor surface was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris. The prepared concrete substrate as then primed with a solvent free epoxy primer and allowed to cure.

The work areas and pedestrian walkways were then masked and coated with high build epoxy coatings. The work areas in stirling grey and the pedestrian walkways kingfisher blue. Once cured a second coat of high build epoxy was then applied to the work areas and pedestrian walkways.

Line demarcation was then added to segregate the work stations from the pedestrian walkways in the colour safety yellow.

An anti slip clear polyurethane sealer containing polymer beads for added traction was then applied to the finished floor surface to complete the operation.
